Lube & Cleaning
Toy cleaner, lubricant and the small things that keep everything in good condition between uses. A toy that is cleaned properly after every use lasts longer and stays safe to use, and the right lube makes almost everything more comfortable. Everything here is chosen to work with the toys we sell, and every listing says what it is safe with.

Cleaning a toy properly
Most toys need nothing more than warm water and a mild, unscented soap, or a toy cleaner if you would rather not use soap on something intimate. Wash it before the first use and after every use, then let it dry completely before you put it away. Moisture left in a seam or around a charging port is where problems start.
How you clean depends on what the toy is made of. Silicone, glass and stainless steel are non porous, so they clean completely. Softer materials such as TPE are porous and hold on to bacteria, which is why we say so on every listing. Our guide to cleaning and storing your toys goes through each material in turn.
Choosing a lube to go with it
Water based lube is safe with every toy and every condom, and it is the one to start with. Silicone based lube lasts longer and works well in water, but it can damage a silicone toy. Oil based lube is for massage and solid toys only, and it breaks down latex. If you are not sure, read which lube to use and how much before you buy.
Storing everything
Keep toys apart from each other in a pouch or a clean drawer, out of direct sunlight. Some materials react when they touch, and a toy stored in its own bag stays cleaner for longer. Every order ships in plain packaging with nothing on the outside to say what is inside.
How often should I clean my toys?
Before the first use and after every use. Wash with warm water and a mild unscented soap or a toy cleaner, then let it dry completely before storing it.
Can I use silicone lube with a silicone toy?
It is best not to. Silicone lube can make the surface of a silicone toy tacky over time. Use a water based lube with silicone toys.
Is toy cleaner better than soap?
Not always. Mild unscented soap and warm water work for most toys. Toy cleaner is handy when there is no sink nearby, or for a toy with a motor that cannot be rinsed under a tap.
Will my order arrive in plain packaging?
Yes. Every order ships in plain packaging, and the charge on your statement uses a neutral name.
