How points are earned, when they can be spent, and what happens to them.

How you earn points

On an order placed while you are signed in to your account, you earn points at 1 for every whole dollar you spend on goods, not counting GST, delivery or anything paid by gift card. A discount does not reduce the points you earn. An order placed as a guest earns points too if you set up an account from it within 30 days.
The rate goes up with your tier, which is set by the points you have earned in total:
  • Member, from 0 points earned: 1 times the rate
  • Circle, from 2,500 points earned: 1.25 times the rate
  • Inner Circle, from 10,000 points earned: 1.5 times the rate
A review we publish earns 100 points, the same whatever its rating and whatever it says, for up to 3 reviews in any month. Points for a review can be spent straight away and do not expire. How reviews are handled is set out in our review policy.
There is currently no reward for signing up, for referring a friend or on your birthday. From time to time we may also add points to an account as a goodwill gesture, for example to put right a problem with an order. Any points we add always appear in your points history.

When points can be spent

Points from an order can be spent 14 days after you pay for it, and show as pending until then. We hold them for that long so that the points from an order refunded soon after it is placed can be removed before they are spent. If we change that period, points already pending keep the date they had.

Refunds

If an order is fully refunded, the points it earned are removed, even if they had already become spendable. If you have already used some of them, we remove only what is left in your balance, which never goes below zero. A partial refund does not remove the points an order earned. Points you spent on an order come back when it is refunded: all of them on a full refund, and on a partial refund a share matching the share of the goods refunded, rounded down. Points that come back expire when the points you spent would have, or 30 days after the refund if that is later.

When points expire

Points do not expire at the moment. If we introduce expiry, it will only apply to points earned after the change, and we will tell you by email at least 30 days before it starts.

Using points

Each point is worth $0.01. At the checkout you can use spendable points in blocks of 100, from 500 up, for up to 50 percent of what your items cost. Points never cover delivery.

What points are

Points have no cash value. They cannot be exchanged for money, transferred to another account or combined with anyone else's points.
If you ask us to erase your account, any points on it are cancelled: they cannot be used, transferred or paid out afterwards.

Changes to the programme

We may change the programme. If a change is less favourable to you, we will tell you by email at least 30 days before it takes effect. A change in your favour can take effect straight away. Points you have already earned stay valid until their expiry date, even if we pause the programme.

Gift cards and discount codes

Gift cards do not expire. Discount codes cannot be combined with each other unless a code's own terms say so. Points and a gift card can be used on the same order as a discount code.
